Psychology in London
School days are supposed to be the happiest of our lives, but for me it was Undergraduate days. Three years in Enfield may not seem so joyous, but every day brought new insights into the human condition. I was fascinated. Middlesex University had (and still has) a great Psychology department, with BPS recognised degrees, and the campus is less than an hour from central London. What more could one ask? (OK, a full grant would have been useful, but as the Buddhists say, "Everything in life is imperfect"...)
As well as the required modules (child development, biological psychology, research methods, etc.) I was particularly inspired by Consciousness studies, Carl Jung and other non-mainstream aspects. Rebel, eh?
